Klavan to miss Foxes clash
New Liverpool signing Ragnar Klavan will miss Saturday’s clash against champions Leicester City.
The Estonian defender aggravated the knee injury which forced him to miss the trip to Tottenham during the international break this week, report the Liverpool Echo.
Klavan was given the all-clear to captain his country in their opening World Cup qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday night.
He had sat out of the 1-1 friendly draw with Malta.
The 30-year-old played the full 90 minutes in Zenica but it proved to be a painful night in more ways than one as Estonia were thrashed 5-0 and he was hampered by discomfort in his knee late on.

Whoops…
Fans of Liverpool have been left furious after a new club sponsor mocked the Reds – hours after the deal was made public.
UK-based watch brand Holler FC had just been announced as Liverpool’s new official timing partner and even changed their Twitter bio to read: “The official timing partner of Liverpool football club.”
However, that did not stop them aiming a cheeky dig at the Reds, who are without a league title since their 1990 success.
Following the England Under-21 success of Manchester United sensation Marcus Rashford during the week, Holler FC went in the search of retweets.

Lucas wants to make new Anfield a fortress
Lucas Leiva wants Liverpool to turn the new Anfield into a fortress to help them secure Champions League qualification.
The Reds have spent the opening month of the season on their travels but they return to Merseyside on Saturday to welcome champions Leicester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men will walk out in front of the stunning new Main Stand, which has upped the Anfield capacity to 54,000, report the Liverpool Echo.
“I’m excited to see the new Anfield,” said Lucas, who is eyeing his first senior appearance of the season after recovering from a hamstring strain.
“I think the fans are really looking forward to it and the atmosphere will be the same as always – very good, but with many more thousands it’ll probably be louder.”

Welcome…
Greeting sports fans and welcome to MirrorFootball’s live coverage of Jurgen Klopp’s weekly press conference.
The Liverpool boss is set to face the press ahead of his side’s clash against Leicester City, as the Premier League comes kicking and screaming back into our lives following the international break.
And champions Leicester aim to send out a “statement” by winning at the new-look Anfield, according to Andy King.
The Foxes’ Premier League title defence finally got up and running with a 2–1 home victory over Swansea after losing at promoted Hull and drawing with Arsenal.
And on Saturday, they will be the first team to visit Liverpool this season.
The Reds have played all three games so far away from home, while their new £150million main stand was completed.
It boosts the capacity of Liverpool’s famous ground to around 54,000, and Leicester’s visit could see the Reds’ highest home attendance since May 1977.
It promises to make for a raucous atmosphere – which Leicester intend to thrive off too.
Wales midfielder King, 27, said: “Winning at Anfield would be a real statement.
“It’s always a brilliant atmosphere there, but this is the first home game since they’ve had the extension, so it should be even better.
“We know it’s going to be tough because they’ve had a good start themselves. But we know if we play the way we can, then we are a match for anyone.”
Klopp is due up shortly, so stay tuned and we’ll get cracking…
