Stephen Colbert couldn’t resist talking about Gary Johnson’s Aleppo blunder on Thursday night.

On Thursday morning, Johnson dropped the ball when he was asked to talk about Aleppo. Clueless as to what Aleppo was, Johnson responded, “What is Aleppo?”

“That is embarrassing,” Colbert said. “I haven’t seen someone go blank like that since I was asked, ‘Who is Gary Johnson?’”

“I’ve interviewed him four times,” Colbert continued. “Seriously, who is Gary Johnson?”

Colbert also took the opportunity to discuss the Bundy brothers, who are standing trial.

According to Colbert, the Bundy brothers asked their judge to allow them to wear cowboy boots and hats in order to appear more “authentic.”

“Personally, I think Bundy should be allowed to go to court dressed like a cowboy, so long as his defense team is made up of a construction worker, an Indian, a cop, a soldier and a biker,” Colbert said, describing the Village People.
