Lazy Man United? Only one team have covered LESS ground than Jose Mourinho's men this season

By any measure, Man United have had a good start to the season.

Three wins from three, the Premier League’s best defensive record, Zlatan and Paul Pogba already integrated into the team… Jose Mourinho couldn’t have hoped for a better start to his first campaign at Old Trafford.

Which is precisely why the table you can see below is so surprising.

It shows the total distance each Premier League team has covered so far this season, in kilometres.

The two teams at the top of the list will come as no surprise. Both Tottenham (344 km) and Liverpool (346 km) are known for their pressing styles, so you would expect them to cover a lot of ground.

Liverpool and Spurs: they do a LOT of running

But take a look at the other end of the table, and you might get a bit of a shock.

Check out the side down in NINETEENTH position:

Incredibly, Jose Mourinho’s men have only run a grand total of 316.3km so far this season.

That is a full 30km LESS than Jurgen Klopp’s boys from Anfield.

Sure that will do down well with The Special One…

Still, it could have been worse – they could have been rock bottom of the table.

Thanks goodness for David Moyes’ Sunderland, eh?
