
LONDON — The phenomenon of perceiving intricate images in the natural world is not an uncommon occurrence — think people who see Jesus’ face on their toast or U.S. presidents in potato form.
The universe has bestowed upon us mere humans another such wondrous sight — and the great forces of the internet have ensured we all get to marvel at it.
Behold: a pothole seen in Scotland, shared by Reddit user Rhyzzz, which looks strikingly like a map of the great nation of Australia.
There’s even a hint of Tasmania.

The miraculous pothole appears to surround some sort of drainage grate, which has resulted in some truly spectacular punning:
